I'm not sure if I'm completely registered at the website.

I keep getting "Access Denied" when I'm asked to login.  Help?

The IP address you were registering from (96.26.82.57) is marked as bad. Most likely this is because you tried to register more than once after being blocked by Akismet. I white listed you. YOu should be able to register now.

I don't think you actually did anything wrong. Akismet and Stop Forum Spam didn't like something about your registration. On your second attempt to register it automatically banned you.

I think you are correct that it assumed something about your last name seemed wrong. Akismet doesn't provide a comment when it blocks something. SFS does maintain the whitelist for the site though and it should allow you in now.

I've managed to register and I've been sent a password with my username.  But when I attempt to log in with my username and the password that was sent to me, it responds with:  "Login Failed".  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

It still thinks your blocked for some reason. Let me see if I can fix that.
